a first at camp

not really sure they've ever shut camp down, but they did as of last night. they sent the campers who were here, home. too many kids with fevers and flu-like symptoms. so, camp got changed over and deep-cleaned. we'll get new campers on sunday and pray that they won't get sick. i still had my day off and went into town to meet people from memphis who have been in gunnison for a youth conference. it was good to see people i've known longer than 2 months :)

so, last week camp turned over to a new session and it's been really hard. just the whole dynamic
of the kitchen has changed.. not in a bad way, it's just COMPLETELY different. we're all having to start from scratch with building up friendships again. here is a picture of our first session crew.. they were just wonderful and they all showed me Christ on a daily basis. i miss them all so much. the lord just has me in a place where i am investing in other interns more now than i was last session. instead of really investing in summer staff and work crew, this month god is leading me toward interns. its been really great to see the lord's will playing out.

not much else going on beside the flu and a new session. my schedule got changed so now i run the lasagna dinner and i get to go on the hike!! i'm excited to hang with the guest service people and get out of camp for a day. that's it on my end. pray for strength to work, restoration every night, and health for the staff and campers.

1 thessalonians 5:16-18 "be joyful always; pray continually; and give thanks in all circumstances for that is the Lord's will for you in Christ Jesus."
